The Opioid Crisis Response program helps individuals at high risk of overdose connect with community resources, linkages to care, peer support services, and harm reduction education. This position will perform case management for the program utilizing a person-centered approach and a harm reduction framework.
Under general supervision performs work of moderate difficulty coordinating with public programs; implementing and assessing needed services to individuals experiencing mental illness and/or substance use disorders; and performs other related duties as assigned. This position may include clinical oversight as required if operating under a behavioral health license (Ariz Admin Code 9-10-115) with the onsite Behavioral Health provider (ex once every two weeks, four hours per calendar month with the Behavioral Health Provider).
**Please note**: This is a Limited Appointment position funded by the National Opioid Settlement Grant and has an end date of June 30, 2027.
**Typical Duties**:

- Provides support and advocacy to program participants Investigates and resolves client complaints
- Prepares and maintains records and reports
- Coordinates and collaborates with community-based organizations, public agencies, coalitions, schools and other appropriate facilities to implement programs
- Prepares and disseminates informational program materials
- May participate in the recruitment of volunteers, practicum students and interns
- May supervise and train student employees, interns and/or volunteers
- Performs related work as assigned
Essential functions of this position include but are not limited to: driving; sitting for computer entry, typing, answering telephones, etc; working with and around other staff, administration, inmates and citizens, etc; dealing with interruptions; repetitive motion (hand / wrist) for computer and phone work; vision acuity (near / far); hearing and speech for ordinary conversation; touch and finger dexterity for using radios, intercoms, telephones and computers.
**Minimum Qualifications**:
Three years of administrative experience; OR
Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must obtain an Arizona driver's license by date of hire and maintain it throughout employment.
Community Services Requirement: if this position is in Community Services, then a fingerprint clearance card is required.
This position is non-exempt from overtime.
This position is safety sensitive.
**Preferred Qualifications**: Experience in working with diverse and vulnerable populations with a strong understanding of multicultural issues; bilingual; ability to speak, read and write clearly and concisely in English and Spanish, or English and Navajo, conveying complex or technical information in a manner that others can understand.
