Residential Counselor

_**The Opportunity**_

We are seeking Residential Counselors for our _transitional residence in Freeport serving homeless young men and women ages 16-21. The program provides independent living skills and shelter for up to 18 months in order to prepare them for independent living._
- **Responsibilities**_
- Supervise daily activities of the residents.
- Oversee in-house recreation and interaction of residents.
- Manage tasks related to the daily operations of the house and residents.
- Maintain program paperwork (petty cash, sign outs, timesheets, receipts, logs, etc.)
- Perform bed checks and morning wake-up when needed.

**Qualifications**
- HS Diploma/GED required; some college preferred.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Minimum of 1 year experience with adolescents.
- Valid NYS driver's license with a safe and responsible driving history.

**Schedule**:

- Part-Time Weekends, Saturday-Sunday 4pm-12pm
- Location: Freeport
- Salary: $18.65/hr
