The Research Study Coordinator will help launch and staff an FDA regulated clinical trial enrolling 80 couples to home test experimental condoms. The Study Coordinator will conduct video conference consent/instruction visits and travel to curbside supply visits throughout Seattle.

Top line remote equipment will be provided for use at home and a secure WeWork office.

A fully paid week of training in Los Angeles will be bolstered by remote Research Team support. This one-year term position is 100-75% time, paying $30-$36/hour depending on prior experience.

Responsibilities include:

- Assists with project implementation/recruitment/follow up
- Interviews study participants both in-person and remotely
- Attends in-clinic and curbside study visits
- Liaisons with study clinicians concerning adherence to study protocols and procedures
- Assists with data processing, review and analysis
- Assists with maintenance of data control systems
- Manages work assignments of Clinical Trial Research Associates
- Travels to Essential Access Los Angeles office for training and the periodic transport of study data and materials
- Coordinates area research activities
- Performs special research/data projects as requested
- Assists with hiring and training of Clinical Trial Research Associates
- Exercises independent judgment directly relating to scope of work
- Description of Duties- Provides guidance and instruction to Clinical Trial Research Associates in the adherence to study protocol and data collection requirements.
- Maintains study records and materials safely and securely
- Assists with orientation of new staff.
- Carries out higher level data-related tasks.
- Screens potential study participants for eligibility
- Conducts the informed consent process
- Collects medical histories of study participants
- Provides instructions to study participants in the proper use of study methods and the completion of study forms.
- Takes study participant vital signs and records adverse events/concomitant medications
- Prepares study specimens for shipment to laboratories
- Codes and edits data collection instruments.
- Assists with the maintenance of data control systems.
- Assists with key entry of data as needed.
- Assists with the maintenance of research data files.
- Maintains supplies of data collection forms, brochures, informed consent forms, and other study materials at data collection sites.
- Completes special projects as needed.
- Assists with Research Division activities as directed.
- Additional duties, as assigned.
- QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job.
- Two years’ experience in clinical and/or research setting, or two years’ college level course work in social and/or health sciences or equivalent.
- Computer proficiency in Word, Excel and Windows desirable.
- Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
- Ability to analyze data and develop recommendations and solutions.
- Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and persuasively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and/or in a team setting.
- Excellent organizational skills and adept at working on multiple projects.
- Ability to develop effective administrative procedures.
- Requirements**Certificates, Licenses, Registrations**:
A current California Driver’s License, current registration and current automobile insurance coverage is required if you drive on company business.

**Physical Demands**:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear.
