**Minimum Qualifications**:
High school diploma or GED; college degree preferred; possession of a paralegal certificate from an accredited paralegal program plus two years of experience as a paralegal; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Extensive legal background; experience writing legal documents and conducting legal research using digital and written tools; high degree of accuracy in calendaring court-imposed deadlines and tracking deadlines; superior organizational skills utilized in maintaining case files and digital document database; strong ability to prioritize assignments. Also requires strong analytical as well as excellent oral and written communications skills. **Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required.**

**Duties**:
Under general supervision, performs work of considerable difficulty in providing paralegal and secretarial support to attorneys. Assists attorneys with preparing responses to Motions for Discovery by reviewing offense reports and criminal complaints; conducts legal and factual research; preparation of legal documents; monitors court-imposed deadlines and court-ordered procedures for attorneys, performs calendaring of those deadlines, hearings, and trials; interacts with various Court personnel for submission or retrieval of legal documents; files/answers office phones; copies and maintains digitized documents. Perform other work as required. This position will be in the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office located in the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court building. The work product will include sensitive and confidential information and some materials may be graphic.

**This position is a part of an approved Career Development Plan (CDP) and offers career progression opportunities and salary incentives, as funding permits, based on performance, qualifications, and experience.**

Monday - Friday; 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
