Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a School Secretary. As the School Secretary, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the school office. This is a vital role that requires excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and the ability to multitask effectively.

**Responsibilities**:

- Participates in parish leadership by working cooperatively with office staff, faculty, the principal, and pastor(s).
- Works with the principal/heads of school to maintain the integral role of the school in the mission and ministry of the church.
- Prepares reports required by local, state, national, and district officials and keeps current files of these reports.
- Promotes the school and encourages parents to enroll their children in the school.
- Handles publicity for the school through weekly newsletters, the annual school handbook, faculty handbook, etc.
- Enrolls students and maintains up-to-date records and files in accordance with policies established by the Board of Christian Education and the State of Wisconsin.
- Collects all monies and maintains accurate financial records, including issuing monthly billing statements to families (hot lunch, extended care, summer day camp, etc.)
- Assists the Principal in preparing the school calendar and coordinating it with the church calendar.
- Maintains the standard of behavior established for the school and collaborates with the teachers and staff to provide for all communications between members of the congregation and staff.
- Is concerned about the progress of each child and seeks to establish a good rapport with the students through openness with them and fair treatment in handling problems that arise.
- Follows school time schedules for the coordination and smooth operation of the instructional program.
- Aids injured and sick students in the health room.
- Completes other responsibilities as requested and required.
- Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate person or department
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
- Provide general administrative support such as filing, photocopying, and data entry
- Maintain student records and ensure accuracy and confidentiality
- Manage school calendars and schedule appointments
- Assist with student enrollment and registration processes
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail
- Provide exceptional customer service to students, parents, and staff members

**Requirements**:

- Christian by affirmation of faith and by example.
- Minimum High School Diploma
- Skilled in typing, word processing and working with a computer-based school management system.
- Proficient at using programs like Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher, etc. to develop school handbooks, brochures, presentations, etc.
- Ability to meet state and federal requirements including background check, fingerprinting, immunization, and health requirements.
- Maintains current CPR, AED, First Aid certifications, and other required trainings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in a front desk or administrative role is preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with QuickBooks or other accounting software is a plus
- Ability to type accurately and efficiently
- Knowledge of medical receptionist or medical office procedures is an asset
- Customer support experience is beneficial

We offer competitive pay based on experience.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
