The CALPIA **Food & Beverage Packaging** program is designed to meet California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) institutional statewide needs. This program will train incarcerated individuals with the necessary knowledge and skill level needed to meet the highest possible standards for this program**_._** In return CALPIA provides training for a skilled workforce in the private sector upon release, reducing the potential for recidivism.
- The PIA is looking to fill an Industrial Supervisor, Prison Industries (Food & Beverage Packaging) position at **California Institution for Men**.** The Industrial Supervisor, PI (Food & Beverage Packaging) is responsible for working inside a prison directly with incarcerated individuals instructing, leading, and providing Instruction to assist with Food & Beverage Packaging.
- Under the direction of the Prison Industries Superintendent II, (Food & Beverage Packaging), the incumbent is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of incarcerated individual workers engaged in the operation of a modern Industrial Processing Plant. The incumbent may be called upon to assume general custody responsibilities in time of emergency. Employees will have regular and substantial contact with persons incarcerated in California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) institution and/or medical facilities.

Working Conditions

Assignments during tour of duty may include sole responsibility for the supervision of incarcerated individuals and/or the protection of personal and real property.
