IT Specialist

**Duties**:

- You will manage a workforce which is comprised primarily of information technology specialists, cybersecurity specialists, program analysts and logisticians involved in the identification/consolidation/development of information system requirements.
- You will manage the development and maintaining of functional Information Technology strategic plans.
- You will review and recommend to management the approval of reports, correspondence, policies and other technical products of the program.
- You will evaluate the practicality of new ideas, plans, policies and recommendations submitted by Integrated Product Team (IPT) and Program personnel.
- You will ensure the infrastructure remains cost effective, efficient, and of high quality and identify the current state of how IT is currently being used by the Program.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 802, level BASIC, within 12 months of appointment.

**Qualifications**:

- Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving.-
- Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
