_**General Description**_: Professional Security Officer responsible for watching over client site in Ayer. Will perform access control at the main gate/entry and act as a visual deterrent on site. Responsible for detecting and reporting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, theft, or other criminal behavior. Security Officer must be observant, punctual, respectful, responsible, calm, and able to de-escalate situations. Good opportunity for retirees.
- _**Essential Functions**:_
**Conducting foot patrols of sites regularly to maintain order and establish a presence**
**Conduct access control for foot traffic**
**Observe and Report**
**Secure all exits, doors, and windows during shift and at end of shift**
**Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify issues**
**Respond to alarms as required by clients**
**Submit daily activity reports using company-provided software**
**Provide a professional level of service to clients/customers**

- **18+ years of age**:
- **Word, Excel, Office experience.**:
- **Pass a CORI(background check)**:
- **Be able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.**:
- **Excellent observation skills**:
- **Familiarity with report writing**

- **Experience as a security guard and/or Military/Law Enforcement.**:
- **Knowledge of legal guidance for area security and public safety**:

- **Trained in First Aid/BLS and self-defense**:

**Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods of time.**
