Produce Clerk

Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Produce Clerk to join our team. As a Produce Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining the produce section of our store, ensuring that it is well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing. Your excellent customer service skills and knowledge of produce will contribute to creating a positive shopping experience for our customers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Stocking and replenishing produce items on shelves and displays
- Inspecting produce for quality and removing any damaged or expired items
- Arranging produce in an attractive and organized manner
- Assisting customers in selecting produce items and providing information about their origin, taste, and preparation
- Weighing and packaging produce items according to customer requests
- Operating equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and RF scanners
- Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the produce section
- Rotating stock to ensure freshness
- Monitoring inventory levels and notifying the supervisor when items need to be reordered

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working with produce in a retail or grocery setting is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers
- Basic math skills for weighing and pricing produce items
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Organizational skills to keep the produce section clean, tidy, and well-stocked
- Ability to operate equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and RF scanners (training will be provided)
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Morning shift

Weekly day range:

- Every weekend
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
