**Job Summary**:
Serves as Accountant for the accounting function of the ISU Foundation. Requires an individual with exceptionally strong organizational skills, an analytical mind, and very detail oriented. Basic accounting skills are required as is the ability to handle a high volume of work and to adjust to changing workloads during peak periods. Ability to be flexible and cooperative in a collaborative, fast-paced, dynamic, and sometimes stressful environment. Thorough knowledge of computer spreadsheets and databases and the personal commitment to become an expert and gain working knowledge in foundation accounting operations is critical.

**Salary Rate / Pay Rate**:
$18.25 - $23.73 per hour

**Required Qualifications**:

- 1. Any one or combination totaling three (3) years (36 months) from the categories below:

- A) Work experience and/or training in Accounting or a closely related field
- B) College course work and/or training in Accounting or a closely related field (including 12 semester hours in accounting)- 30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)
- Associate’s Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months)
- 90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)
- Bachelor’s Degree (120 semester hours) equals (3) years (36 months)

**Preferred Qualifications**:
1. General understanding of the Illinois State University Foundation, University Advancement, and Illinois State University.
2. Basic knowledge of accounting; good communication, and interpersonal skills.

**Work Hours**:
8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.

**Functional Expectations**:
Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:
1. Effectively communicate on a daily basis.
2. Remain at workstation for extended periods.
