We are seeking a highly organized, enthusiastic individual for the position of Architectural and Planning Review Assistant to join the team of professionals at our busy office in Palos Verdes Estates. This position assists our organization to process projects submitted for design review.

**Job responsibilities include**:
Providing information and assistance to homeowners, architects, contractors, engineers, city officials, and the public regarding building and improvement projects.

Intake and preliminary plan check of submitted projects, verifying that they meet basic requirements of the Protective Deed Restrictions.

Perform on site architectural and compliance inspections and accurately report findings.

Office administrative documentation, maintenance and update of associated project files, records, inspections and special projects.
- Extended education with concentration in Architecture, Construction or Planning or 5+ years of experience in related fields
- Ability to read and understand architectural drawings
- Strong customer service, relationship building and interpersonal skills
- Excellent English communication skills, including written and verbal
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with act a plus
- Highly organized and detail oriented, with the ability to work independently and cooperatively with coworkers
- Ability to shift priorities as needed
- Initiative, cooperation, productivity, commitment to quality, and an outgoing personality are desired traits
- Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and respond to inquiries
- Prepare and edit correspondence, reports, and presentations

Salary commensurate with skills and experience

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 40 per week
