Our cafe is an indoor/outdoor cafe with a full espresso bar. We are known for our specialty matchas and lattes, as well as our amazing customer service A majority of our customers are parents of small children, although we have a ton of customers who are in high school and other demographics to come and study. We try and maintain

**Job Summary and Responsibilities**:
Our number one priority at The Lullabar is to ensure moms and caregivers feel welcomed and at home in our space. We are looking for experienced baristas who feel passionate and aligned with our mission to create a safe space of community and rest.

This position will report to our People Operations Lead.

**Job Summary and Responsibilities**:

- **Welcome Customers**:Warmly greet customers and present the coffee drink menu; answering any questions. Strive to create a positive repour with children, parents, and caregivers on a consistent basis.
- **Prepare Coffee and Matcha Drinks**: Prepare and sell coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for matcha and coffee drinks, such as espresso, espresso lungo, caffe latte, and cappuccino.
- **Maintains Inventories**: Keep track of inventory, replenish coffee bean supply; stock coffee brewing equipment; maintain supplies, pastries, and snacks for coffee bar.
- **Equipment Maintenance**: Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
- **Maintain Health Code Compliance**: Ensure adherence to all health code standards and requirements by regularly reviewing and updating procedures, protocols, and practices related to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene.
- **Training and Education**: Train barista staff on recipes, operating procedures, health code regulations, proper food handling techniques, cleanliness standards, and best practices for maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment.
- **Regular Inspections**: Conduct regular inspections of the cafe area, equipment, storage areas, and food preparation stations to identify and address any potential health code violations or sanitation issues promptly.
- **Documentation and Record-Keeping**: Maintain accurate records of inspections, cleaning schedules, temperature logs, and other relevant documentation required to demonstrate compliance with health code regulations.
- **Maintain a Clean Environment**: Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
- **Integrate Mission and Values in Daily Performance**: Ensure that our mission, vision, objective, and values are reflected in our daily operations and team management.
- **Ensure Daily Cafe Operations Run Smoothly**: Assist in creating and maintaining statements of procedures (SOPs) with our operations lead and cafe staff.
- **Saturday Support**:Be the main point of contact for staff on Saturdays for any minor issues such as printer ink shortage, wifi connectivity, supply/inventory issues, etc.

**Required Experience**:

- The barista role requires 2-3 years of previous experience at a busy café.

Pay: $22.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
