**Position Description: Lab Technician**

**Position Outline**

The Lab Technician will be assigned onsite at client location in Point Comfort, Texas.

**Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following**:

- Instrument Calibrations
- Analyze Process Samples, performing chemical and physical tests on various material and water samples.
- Analyze Final Product Prior to shipment.
- Monitor Process Additives
- Paperwork as required.
- Troubleshoot and Repair Instruments
- QC Analysis for Process
- Attend Safety and Departmental Training
- Will abide by the quality policy in regards to ISO 9000 and will abide by the
- Environmental, Health & Safety Requirements as they pertain to ISO 14001.
- Work outside normal shift hours as needed.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Eight hours of college chemistry; or an associate degree in Chemical -Technology (Laboratory), Process Technology; or three years industrial lab experience; or 15 consecutive months Polyolefin/PVC/Polymer Analysis lab experience
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Experience in Plastic converting processes and testing is preferred.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Rotating schedule (shift work), able to work overtime if needed and be on call

- Strong business acumen and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- High ethical standards, integrity, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

**Compensation & Benefits**

Taurus offers a competitive compensation program that considers the applicant’s experience and capabilities, including access to medical benefits, vacation and 401k.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
