**Departmental Mission Statement**:
Enhance access to justice through the effective use of technology. Partner with Judges and all Court Staff to use technology to speed the delivery of justice. Build a culture that values transparency, collaboration, inclusivity and continuous improvement.

Judicial Information Services Department Organizational Profile:
**Notes**:This position is designated as Management and is covered by the Personnel Policies and Procedures Manual.

**Supervision Received**:The Deputy Chief Information Officer for Infrastructure reports to the First Deputy Chief Information Officer and receives general direction in performing duties in accordance with established guidelines.

**Major Duties**:

- Work closely with the CIO, First Deputy, and other departmental leaders to plan, strategize, and ensure key initiatives are developed and completed.
- Research current and new industry trends, technologies, and practices to ensure the continued optimization of our resources.
- Identify opportunities for improvements, expansion, and/or reduction of services that meet the changing needs of the Judiciary.

Operational
- Execute the implementation of storage, compute, and network-related projects and services.
- Provide effective management and oversight of infrastructure-related service providers.
- Promote and use a data driven approach within its group to drive understanding and improvements within areas of responsibilities.
- Develop and drive a technical community across the organization that fosters innovation, agile design and test methodology, flexible teaming, knowledge sharing and talent development.

**Planning**
- Collaborate with other JISD teams as appropriate to develop and design the most appropriate technology & service deliverables.
- Support, and follow project management practices set by the PMO.
- Responsible for defining the enterprise architecture and technology review process.
- Working with JISD Leadership in the planning, implementation, and documentation of disaster recovery and business continuity efforts; ensuring that organizational data is managed, archived, and stored securely.
- Direct or indirect involvement in the development of policies, standards and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation, and use of IT.

**Managerial**
- Hire, supervise, develop, evaluate, mentor and coach staff.
- Cultivate a positive environment of continual learning and growth for team members.
- Model good partnering within JISD through proactive outreach and information sharing with other teams and the promotion of cross team work.
- Support the continued evolution of the whole department through active participation the department meetings and other JISD wide events.

**Budgetary**
- Develop, track, and control the annual infrastructure operating budget to ensure the sustainability of our systems.
- Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Requirements**: Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or related field and 7 years of experience as an information technology professional, including 5 years in a senior IT management role with progressive management and technical responsibilities; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
