At Davies Career and Technical High School in Lincoln, Rhode Island, we're a lot like your local high school. Our students take four years of math and English; three years of science and social studies, and our classes are fully accredited. Over 90% of graduates leave Davies with industry certification, with students choosing from across nine different career areas: Automotive Careers, Electrical, Machine Technology, Pre-Engineering, Bio manufacturing Technology, Cosmetology, Health Careers, Hospitality Careers, and Graphics & Interactive Media.We are currently looking to fulfill a Long-term Substitute ELA Teacher Qualifications-RI Secondary Certification, specific to the content area: ELA-Knowledge of RIDE high school reform and current educational practices.Demonstrated experience working effectively with students, parents, and staff.

Specific vision ability required by this job includes close vision and distance vision. Daily use of small and large motor skills applicable to the skills involved in instruction and the use of a variety of teaching tools: daily computer use, whiteboard/blackboard use, projector use, and the use of any other educational resource. Regularly interacts with students, the public, and with other workers. Regularly and essential to this position, the individual must meet deadlines with rigorous time constraints.
