**POSITION OVERVIEW**

Manages the inventory of the warehouse. Responsibilities include receiving, organizing, storing, issuing, and replenishing maintenance and operational materials, including critical spare parts. Effectively coordinates and allocates resources, both in terms of manpower and supplies, to uphold optimal inventory levels. Ensures the availability of necessary materials for seamless operations while strategically minimizing warehouse inventory costs.

Supervises warehouse personnel in a professional manner, fostering a business-like environment and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. Remains vigilant in monitoring operations for opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, consistently recommending and implementing improvements. Develops and executes comprehensive training programs to empower warehouse staff with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**

Provide comprehensive safety leadership within the Warehouse, prioritizing the well-being of all personnel.

Oversee workplace safety examinations, including inspections of fire extinguishers and first aid kits, ensuring compliance with regulations.

Demonstrate proficiency in local, state, and federal health and safety regulations, enforcing adherence among warehouse staff.

Respond promptly to inquiries and requests for action, maintaining efficient communication channels.

Ensure environmental compliance within the Warehouse, implementing measures to safeguard environmental standards.

Supervise and support the activities of direct reports, including Warehouse Clerks and Countermen, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Develop and mentor employees, equipping them with the skills necessary for advancement within the organization.

Identify and resolve discrepancies and mismatches in inventory, maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

Demonstrate proficiency in the execution of both Department and Company policies and procedures.

Assist in physical inventory counts and stock adjustments, contributing to accurate inventory management.

Coordinate the location and identification of parts within the Warehouse, optimizing organization and accessibility.

Maintain comprehensive Warehouse files, ensuring documentation accuracy and accessibility.

Develop personnel schedules, balancing operational needs with employee availability.

Establish and maintain Warehouse Standard Operating Procedures, promoting consistency and efficiency in operations.

Encourage a culture of cleanliness and organization among warehouse staff through training and regular communication.

Supervise warehouse operations to ensure optimal inventory levels and mínimal operating costs.

Coordinate and allocate resources, including manpower and supplies, to maintain optimal inventory levels.

Monitor and adjust inventory levels, minimizing excess inventory and liquidating obsolete items.

Evaluate the performance of subordinates, providing necessary training and facilitating communication with other departments.

Report any deviations from purchasing policies to the Purchasing department Manager and Warehouse Manager promptly and accurately.

Responsible for executing, supporting, and enforcing the Company's Environmental, Health and Safety program as required by OIS policy, directives, and principles.

**KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES**

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to solicit input from other employees.

Good Verbal and written communication skills.

Must have excellent interpersonal skills.

Excellent Supervisory and training skills.

Must have good computer skills.

Must have excellent computer skills with MS Windows, MS Word, and MS Excel.

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**

Seven (7) years warehouse experience.

Must have at least five (5) years supervisory experience.

**ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH & SAFETY**

This job requires training or instruction around Safety & Health awareness including completion of the appropriate OSHA and/or MSHA training.
