**RESPONSIBILITIES OF A SPORTS OFFICIAL**:

- Officiates at games and records wins and losses.
- Develops positive relationships with participants, coaches and parents.
- Controls the conduct of game play and spectators.
- Operates all equipment properly and promptly reports any problems.
- Sets up and maintains a clean playing area.
- This is not an exhaustive list of job duties. Other duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned.

**REQUIREMENTS TO BE **A **SPORTS OFFICIAL**:

- 16 years of age or older, dependent on age of participants
- Current state approved first aid and CPR certification
- Up-to-date knowledge of YMCA guidelines designated for the league
- 6 month minimum experience in refereeing
