**GENERAL DESCRIPTION**:
The folding gluing operator’s duty is to operate the folder gluer for the finishing of our products. This job is one of great responsibility since operator errors usually result in job spoilage and eventually, customer complaints. The folding gluing process is usually the last process that takes place in the manufacturing of our product; therefore, it provides one final opportunity to perform quality inspections of the product before it is packed and shipped. The department supervisor will determine the production schedule for the operators.

**Essential JOB DUTIES**
- Essential job functions and duties include, but are not limited to, the following:_
- Follow and obey work procedures as defined by the company work process manual
- Follow and obey company policies as defined by the company employee handbook
- Read and thoroughly understand the Job Ticket before starting each job
- Operate the folder gluer at the highest speed possible without compromising the quality of the job being glued and the safety of the crew
- Produce jobs at a quality level that meets or exceeds the customers’ satisfaction
- Produce jobs according to the specifications and instructions written on the job ticket
- Properly isolate “make readies” pieces from “good ” pieces to prevent mixing
- Property isolate different versions of the items being glued to prevent mixing
- Work with die cutter operators to make sure that items being die cut would not cause problems in the gluing departments
- Follow correct machinery operating procedure as given by the department supervisor
- Take good care of the folder gluer as well as other company properties
- Perform routine maintenance/repairs and cleaning of the folder gluer
- Maintain cleanliness and order in vicinity of the folder gluer
- Maintain professionalism and good working relationship with fellow co-workers
- Give clear and specific instructions to the folder gluer packer
- Make continuous improvement in the execution of all tasks described above

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
- Ability to proficiently read, write and communicate in the English language.
- Knowledge of basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and units of measure); ability to count accurately and effectively.
- Knowledge of general folding/gluing operations.
- Ability to read and understand written instructions and job tickets; ability to comprehend verbal instructions.
- Strong knowledge of production methods, systems, and continuous-improvement processes applicable to position.

- Ability to work effectively and efficiently alone or as part of a team.
- Ability to meet Company’s SOP standards for quality, work effectiveness, work quantity, and productivity levels.

- Ability to accurately complete job-generated forms, reports, and documents.

- The appropriate knowledge, skills and abilities required for this position are achievable through the following combination of education, work experience and training:_

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED Certificate; and
- 2+ years experience as a Packer or similar work experience; or
- Any combination of experience, education, and training that provides the level of knowledge, skills, and experience needed to successfully perform the job.
