**Duties**:

- Oversees a full range of Network Enterprise Services for INSCOM’s multiple networks spanning, multiple buildings, and sites in the National Capitol Region.
- Conducts performance assessments of enterprise Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) systems for global customer support services.
- Serves as a lead technical network engineer monitoring network performance and operations.
- Directs efforts within INSCOM to implement major changes to the environment as it relates to network management, security, operations, and maintenance within the organization to include development of cost estimates and input to budget documents.

- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
- Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) may be required 25% or less of the time.

- To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience in two or more of the followings;1). Information Technology network services such as: Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN) systems, 2. Network management, network security, and operations 3. development of cost estimates and input to budget documents. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-12).
