- **This position is for a person with strong experience in Interior Design. Must show that you have designed and curated hi-end residential homes. A good portfolio is a MUST.**_

Skills and Requirements:

- 5+ years of high-end residential design experience.
- Excellent portfolio of previous work
- Proven working experience in decorating interior spaces (consultations, renovations, space planning and new constructions)
- Understanding and experience on the full scope of a project. Beginning with design, to execution, to styling.
- Attention to detail and outstanding problem-solving skills
- Ability to develop and coordinate the detailed design concepts that meet creativity, functionality, and client needs
- **Must be skilled in Chief Architect and Photoshop **software to create full sets of Interior Design drawings including floor plans, elevation
- Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time
- Strong space planning and understanding of feasibility
- Deep understanding of construction documents, processes and selections as it relates to the design process
- Knowledge to lead conversations with other trades involved in the construction process and related to the design aspects of a project
- Detail orientated, organized, agile, and able to multi-task across multiple projects
- Great at problem-solving
- Facilitate design management, execution, and follow through
- Eager to assist and add value to wherever needed
- High level of knowledge of the interior design market and FF&E
- Design within the client’s expectations and aesthetic as outlined by thePrincipal Designer
- Assist in installation and job sites, quality control of all finished products installed on project

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Ability to run all phases of interior design projects (includes conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documents, vendor follow-ups, pricing requests, etc.)
- Ability to prepare materials for presentations to clients including assembly of digital boards using Photoshop, furniture options, elevations and perspectives.
- Select materials for FF&E, knowledge of high-end design resources.
- Work with contractors, architects, vendors and trades to set a realistic timeline and communicate that timeline consistently to clients and all involved parties
- Job site visits, site surveys, and installer supervision
- Materialize concepts/ideas into shop drawings and meet with trades for feasibility
- Design, specify, draft and integrate all elements of interior design and architecture including, but not limited to, furniture plans, architectural details including ceilings, walls, floors, window heights, columns, millwork and other built-ins, kitchens and bathrooms and other construction documents.
- Design, specify, and draft custom furniture & built-ins as required. Obtain necessary subcontractor quotes for said custom furniture & built-ins.
- Specify fabrics, floor coverings, wall coverings, lighting, window treatments, furniture, and any other items as necessary per project requirements. Serve as project lead and collaborate with Principals as appropriate on projects.
- Research and shop as necessary for project material specifications. Develop conceptual designs, create mock-ups and complete with drawings and renderings as necessary.
- Perform drafting of furniture plans, custom designs, construction drawings as required. Must be familiar with Chief Architect software and Photoshop.
- Work closely with Principal on specific project design elements.
- Track and process expenses according to company procedure.
- Any other duties as assigned.
