Merchandising Specialist

**MERCHANDISING SPECIALIST - JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Merchandising Specialist duties will include, but are not limited to**:

- Visit retail stores to maximize awareness and sales of products; sets products according to Company planograms
- Build and maintain strong relationships with retail teams including site personnel, District and Regional Managers
- During site visits, maintain store shelves by removing dated or damaged products
- Communicate recommendations for promotional strategies to Category Manager
- Ensure that sites are stocked with the right types and quantities of products
- Display, arrange, price and rotate products at a site
- Observe customer reaction to special promotions, communicate observations to the Category
- Manager and remove promotional materials at the end of the promotion cycle
- Perform competitor analysis to gain insight on competing promotions
- Stay up-to-date with trends in product lines

**Experience/Qualifications**:

- BA/BS Degree
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with the ability to function effectively as a team member yet work independently
- Able to establish and meet deadlines and quickly develop clear priorities
- Able to communicate in a professional manner when dealing with associates, vendors and Company contacts
- Grocery/retail category management experience

**Hours**:

- The Merchandising Specialist is a full time position and works a minimum of 40 hours

**Salary/Income**:

- The Merchandising Specialist is an exempt, salaried position
