The Quality Control Technician has the primary responsibility for protecting the food by conducting food safety and quality sampling, testing, and documentation to meet all regulatory, customer, and GMP and HACCP requirements. Responsible for testing food to determine physical and chemical properties. Ensures foods comply with FDA standards and regulations.

**After a training period, the fixed hours are Monday thru Friday 2:00pm - 10:00pm**
- Conduct standardized tests on food products to ensure compliance with standards and regulations regarding factors such as color, texture, or taste.
- Maintain records of testing results or other documents as required by state or other governing agencies.
- Taste or smell to ensure that flavors meet specifications or to select samples with specific characteristics.
- Monitor and control temperature of products.
- Conduct routine and non-routine analyses of in-process materials, raw materials, environmental samples, finished goods, or stability samples.
- Interpret test results, compare them to established specifications and control limits, and make recommendations on appropriateness of data for release
- Perform visual inspections of finished products.
- Compile laboratory test data and perform appropriate analyses.
- Monitor performance of quality control systems to ensure effectiveness and efficiency and ensure that SSOPs, regulatory requirements of GMPs and HACCP plans are met.
- Communicate quality control information to all relevant organizational departments, outside vendors, or contractors.
- Document testing procedures, methodologies, or criteria.
- Additional duties as assigned

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
