The Poly Production Support Technician is responsible for providing safe and efficient operational support in their assigned production process. This includes equipment operation, equipment monitoring, documentation, organization, sample testing, and housekeeping around the equipment. Understand and follow all safety rules. Able to safely operate forklifts, motorized pallets jacks, and other heavy equipment by passing training segments and certifications associated with each unit. Able to use basic hand tools for functions of the job. Able to understand chemical handling requirements and chemical processes.

**Essential Duties**:

- Understand and follow all Safety Rules. Able to understand and use lockout systems.
- Actively participate in safety improvement activities
- Report safety and equipment incidents promptly using Toray's incident reporting system
- Monitor Machine/Process Equipment instrumentation during operation
- Maintain proper documentation including computer data entry (MES, Plant Apps, etc.)
- Perform quality checks/inspections of product (Contamination, product shape, and color)
- Assist team to maintain cleanliness and organization of plant and equipment per required standards (AIB)
- Handle product and materials using power equipment (pallet jacks, fork-lifts, Power lifter)
- Able to understand and comply with Quality and Environmental procedures and policies
- Conduct him/herself in a professional manner and maintain good attendance
- Assist team members with miscellaneous items such as sampling, checking equipment in the building and reporting information on a hand-held radio, and maintaining equipment output

**Skills & Qualifications Required**:

- Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis
- Ability to push/pull 1500 lb. using a manual pallet jack
- Able to work 12 hour rotating work shift
- Able to work mandatory overtime
- Ability to stand for long periods of time 2 or 3 hours
- Ability to be respirator certified
- Ability to use basic hand tools
- Comfortable with handling chemicals in small containers and drums

**Education & Experience Required**:

- High School Diploma or GED preferred
