Designer:
Designer on a full-time basis and will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

- Consult with Senior Project Manager for design concept, head count and special or problem areas.
- Discuss submittals, drawings and calculations with Engineering Manager.
- Establish or verify water flow information for hydraulic calculations with water/fire department.
- Design, calculate & list the project per NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) and local/insurance company requirements.
- Review with Senior Project Manager at the 50% design stage and give Field Superintendent prints for use and comments.
- Follow-up with building/fire department for review/approval date.
- Submit and track request for information as requires.
- Provide potential change order to Senior Project Manager.
- Prepare transmittals and correspondence and keep track, including follow-ups with building/fire department for review/approval date.
- Responsible for design and related technical documentation.
- Prepare sketches of ideas, detailed drawings, illustrations, artwork, or blueprints, using drafting instruments, paints and brushes, or computer-aided design equipment.
- Confer with engineering, marketing, production, or sales departments, or with customers, to establish and evaluate design concepts for manufactured products.
- Modify and refine designs, using working models, to conform with customer specifications, production limitations, or changes in design trends.
- Direct and coordinate the fabrication of models or samples and the drafting of working drawings and specification sheets from sketches.
- Evaluate feasibility of design ideas, based on factors such as appearance, safety, function, serviceability, budget, production costs/methods, and market characteristics.
- Present designs and reports for approval and discuss need for modification.
- Research production specifications, costs, production materials and manufacturing methods, and provide cost estimates and itemized production requirements.

Pay: $39.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
