**Position Summary**
The Regional Trainer is responsible for providing clinical training and post-training support to all new hires that come into the region. This support will be provided via in-person training*, role play, live session support. This role is responsible for creating a welcoming, inclusive, connected environment where new hires have the safe space to learn and grow. The Regional Trainer is also a key ambassador of the organization’s values and culture.

*Some training activities may be assigned to be completed remotely, depending on local Covid-19 restrictions. To be determined by ED/SCD.

**Essential Job Functions**
- Conduct live training session (BST 5) up to weekly (i.e. each Friday; may be bi-weekly or monthly, depending on trainee hiring volume and cadence); BST 5 occurs Fridays and is scheduled between 3-7pm local time
- Provide field support (i.e. live session support during a dedicated scheduling block - typically 3-7pm, Monday - Thursday) to NHT graduates
- Other regional training responsibilities as assigned by regional Director (e.g. hiring events, interviews, conducting Safety Care)
- Complete training competencies and tests; submit for each trainee
- Ensure completion of 30-day competencies for each trainee (may be delegated to Field Trainers as appropriate per regional volume)
- Coach Field Trainers to fulfill all responsibilities for field support and competency checks
- Host 1x/month support meeting with all Field Trainers
- Host 1x/month support meeting for all trainees in their first 90 days
- Meet 1x/month with regional Director to discuss trainee/Field Trainers needs/concerns
- Other responsibilities (e.g. 1:1 BT casework) as assigned

**Skills and Abilities**
- Enthusiastic, prepared presenter
- Able to adhere strictly to designated, centralized training content
- Able to coach struggling trainees to effectively improve their clinical and professional skill set
- Superb model of session skills: engaging clients, collecting data accurately, creating
- productive session structure, implementing behavior analytic strategies correctly
- Able to have challenging coaching conversations in a supportive, professional manner
- Able to coordinate effectively with regional supports, ACD, and online trainer to provide wrap-around support to new hires
- Able to navigate clinical technology as required, such as GoTo Meeting/Zoom platforms and Central Reach

**Education, Licenses, and Certifications**
- Required: RBT certification or equivalent
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Education, or related field; BCBA certification in progress

**Experience**
- Completion of Advanced Behavior Technician competencies (or ability to pass ABT competencies within 6 months)
- At least 1 year as a Behavior Technician

**Additional Requirements**
- Reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work on-site (clinic, clients’ homes) and/or remotely (e.g. from home), depending on regional needs and restrictions

- Regional Trainer responsibilities are part-time (up to ~4 hours weekly providing live training and team support; up to 15 hours weekly providing field support, i.e. field visit overlaps with new hires, establishing cases, providing make-up sessions; additional hours facilitating Safety Care and interviews as assigned); full-time employees must take on other work as assigned, such as providing BT services to assigned 1:1 clients
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by regional clinical leadership, including BT 1:1 sessions
