At the present time we are seeking experienced **Kitchen Utility Worker/Dishwasher **to assist kitchen staff with various tasks. The position involves sweeping, mopping and cleaning of equipment, such as mixers, slicers, peelers, fryers, blender and counters.

**Schedules available**:

- Tues/Wed 8am-4pm ; Thurs/Fri/Sat 1pm-9pm**
**- Sun/Mon/Thurs/Fri/Sat
- 8am-4pm**

Additional job responsibilities include:

- Clean, prep and wash dish ware, silverware, glassware, pots and pans
- Ensure all chemical dispensers are working and cleaning supplies are adequate. Use all safety equipment to meet OSHA standards
- Sweep and mop floors as directed
- Empty and clean garbage from kitchen to dumpster
- Assist with heavy lifting
- Daily cleaning of steam kettle, grill, range tops, brazier, stainless steel surfaces, dish racks, dish storage areas, dishwasher and dishwashing area
- Monthly cleaning of all kitchen surfaces, including walls, ceilings, stairs, tables, table legs and appliances
- Assist in dining room, removing soiled dishes during meal service and returning them to kitchen

The ideal person will have experience in a busy kitchen or food preparation area
- Experience working in a restaurant, catering facility, hospital, hospitality, healthcare or similar food services related industry a plus
- Must be able to operate in a fast paced environment
- Must have physical ability for strenuous cleaning and lifting procedures
- Ability to understand the English language and follow instructions with mínimal supervision
- Proven ability to follow all rules, regulations, policies and sanitary standards set out by management

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
