**POSITION OVERVIEW**

The Program Supervisor supports with the delivery of Cal Voices’ contracted peer support and family advocacy services in Placer County’s Children’s System of Care (CSOC). This position reports directly to Cal Voices’ Family Advocacy Program Manager and is responsible for supervising, training, and supporting nine peer line staff and two peer leads, maintaining positive working relationships with County staff and collaborative partners, executing administrative functions to ensure the program’s smooth operations. The Program Supervisor is also in charge of the program’s data collection and reporting requirements and handles the most complicated family advocacy matters within the program. Reliability, accuracy, maturity, critical thinking, sound independent judgment, and a strong work ethic are required at all times. This is a fast-paced work environment where new tasks unexpectedly arise and priorities frequently shift, so advanced organizational skills, personal flexibility, internal motivation, and a sense of humor are also essential. **This position must maintain Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification. Parent, Caregiver, and Family Member Specialization and completion of an approved peer supervisor training are also required.**

Cal Voices is a peer-run, grassroots behavioral health advocacy agency. As such, this position must be held by someone with personal lived experience as the parent or primary caregiver of a child or youth with complex behavioral health needs. The person in this position must be familiar with California’s Public Behavioral Health System (PBHS); the Children’s System of Care (including children’s behavioral health services; the child welfare/foster care system, and the juvenile justice system); the Adult System of Care (including accessing behavioral health services for adults); self-help, wellness, resiliency, and recovery concepts; and fundamental principles of peer support and family advocacy. Qualified individuals who have navigated public behavioral health services in any California county, are bilingual/bicultural, or identify as members of traditionally underserved populations (BIPOC, LGBTQ+, veterans, immigrants, refugees, former foster youth, previously unhoused, past involvement with the criminal legal system, etc.) are strongly desired. Fluency in Spanish or another threshold language is also desired.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
- **Personal Lived Experience**
- As the parent or primary caregiver of a child or youth with complex behavioral health needs
- **Education and Work Experience (A, B, or C)**
- **A.** A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Organizational Development, Child Development, Psychology, or other relevant field, plus at least two years of professional work experience performing the core duties of this position in a behavioral health setting; **or**:

- **B**. An associate’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Organizational Development, Child Development, Psychology, or other relevant field, plus at least four years of professional work experience performing the core duties of this position in a behavioral health setting; **or**:

- **C. **A high school diploma or equivalent, **plus** at least six years of professional work experience performing the core duties of this position in a behavioral health setting
- **Professional Credentials (A + B + C)**[1]**
- **A. **Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist (MPSS) Certification that is current and in good standing; **and**:

- **B. **Parent, Caregiver, and Family Member Specialization; **and**:

- **C. **Completion of a state-approved peer supervisor training
- A current and valid Class “C” California Driver License
- Immediate access to reliable personal transportation throughout the workday
- Auto insurance coverage that meets the minimum legal requirements in California
- Ability to perform all of the Job Duties for this position, with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Possession of the Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for this position
- Ability to meet all of the Physical and Mental Requirements for this position
- Ability to pass a criminal background screening, if offered this position
