**Job Summary**:
As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a vital role in maintaining relationships with both strategic and non-strategic cannabis suppliers, ensuring smooth backend support. You will develop and manage processes, establish policies, and devise value-adding strategies to enhance our platform. Your responsibilities include ensuring that procurement processes adhere to audit, regulatory, and legal standards, and working closely with the procurement team to measure supplier performance and report on frameworks. Additionally, you will be integral in supplier selection processes, managing existing supplier relationships, and driving cost management initiatives to identify and implement opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining quality standards. Your ability to evaluate, improve, and sustain supplier performance will contribute significantly to our business objectives, as will your knack for staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to inform procurement decisions.

**Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Backend support of relationships in strategic and non-strategic cannabis suppliers
- Develop and manage processes, establish policies, and develop value-adding strategies to our current platform
- Ensure procurement processes meets audit, regulatory, and legal standards
- Works closely with procurement team for supplier performance measurements and reporting frameworks
- Integral part of supplier selection process and managing the relationships of existing suppliers
- Applies business strategies to daily activities, contributes to make-buy decisions, identifies market opportunities, gaps and trends
- Validates data integrity, identifies data gaps, and updates & corrects system data
- Work environment is mostly office based; however, this position may visit internal production areas as well as external supplier sites, which may involve travel
- Build relationships inside and outside of the supply chain organization; influencing, persuading, and collaborating with others in order to support business objectives
- Effectively evaluate, improve, and sustain supplier performance, including but not limited to: Quality, Cost, Delivery, Lead-time, Bid & Proposal Turn-times, Project & Field Support, etc
- Drives cost management through identifying and implementing opportunities for cost reduction, utilizes cost modeling techniques, and analyzing TCO to ensure the best overall value
- Develop a network that allows the Senior Executives to leverage internal and external relationships to continuously improve responsiveness & service levels
- Support NPI, strategic sourcing, and supplier selection to ensure flexible capacity and consistent supply from qualified suppliers to support business objectives
- Uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems
- Unearth root cause to assess risk to the business and develop business continuation plans
- Prepares monthly KPI and financial reports
- Prepare and present regular procurement reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and cost-saving opportunities
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies to make informed procurement decisions

**Qualifications**:

- 2+ years of strategic sourcing/procurement and/or contract experience
- Experience with ERP, SCM, VCM, and/or Source-to-Pay tools
- Experience in team environments and supplier relationship management
- Comfort with written and verbal communication of quantitative and qualitative information
- Experience being in a support role to procurement or sales, assisting with data collection, schedule administration, lead development, purchase order processes, and contact management, etc.
- Experience in contract development, administration, and/or management
- Experience managing multiple simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment with several stakeholders
- Effective communicator in written and oral form
- Organized, detailed and highly accurate in all reporting functions
- Experience preparing presentations and reports for senior management
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills
- Good time management skills and a willingness to go the extra mile
