Elementary School Teacher

**Summary**:
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
Curriculum Development:

- Ability to develop and implement a well-rounded and age-appropriate curriculum for elementary students that aligns with state standards and integrates Christian values.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans and learning activities that promote critical thinking, creativity, and a love for learning.

Classroom Instruction:

- Provide effective and engaging classroom instruction, utilizing a variety of teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel safe, valued, and encouraged to participate actively.

Spiritual Integration:

- Integrate Christian principles, values, and biblical truths into all aspects of the curriculum and classroom activities.
- Lead students in age-appropriate devotions, discussions, and prayers to encourage spiritual growth and character development.

Student Assessment and Progress Monitoring:

- Assess student performance regularly using a mix of formative and summative assessments.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and parents to support academic progress and spiritual development.

Classroom Management:

- Establish and maintain a well-organized and disciplined classroom environment that fosters positive behavior and mutual respect.
- Implement appropriate discipline strategies consistent with the school's policies and Christian values.

Parent Communication:

- Maintain open and regular communication with parents, providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences and other school events to foster strong relationships with parents and families.

Extracurricular Involvement:

- Participate in and support school-sponsored extracurricular activities, such as field trips, community service projects, and school events.

Professional Development:

- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in education, curriculum development, and spiritual integration.

Collaboration:

- Collaborate with other teachers, school staff, and administrators to create a cohesive and supportive learning community.
- Participate in faculty meetings and school-wide initiatives.

**Qualifications**:
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
- AACS Teaching certification required or the ability to obtain.

Christian Faith and Commitment:

- Active involvement in a Christian church or faith community.
- A deep commitment to integrating Christian principles into teaching and guiding students spiritually.

Teaching Experience:

- Prior experience in teaching elementary students is desirable.
- Experience in a Christian school or faith-based educational environment is a plus.

Passion for Teaching and Education:

- Demonstrated passion for working with young children and a commitment to their academic and spiritual growth.

Communication Skills:

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.

Patience and Compassion:

- Patience and compassion in dealing with young learners, understanding their unique needs and challenges.

Pay: $35,000.00 per year
