**General Responsibilities/Job Summary**

Work in a slaughtering establishment performing precision functions involving the preparation of duck. Work may include specialized slaughtering tasks and cutting premium cuts of duck for further processing. The Lead Hand plays an important leadership role in the Production/Packaging/Shipping departments. He/she works in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment and is responsible for overseeing food processing activities in a given department. This person gives direction, trains new employees and directly supports the Department Supervisor.

1. Hang, grade and stuff ducks

2. Pack ducks and duck parts

3. Trim and/or remove parts of duck

4. Make boxes

5. Understand and follow plant GMP's

6. Follow all plant rules

7. Understand our reconditioning procedures

8. Know how to correctly follow Standard Operating Procedures

9. Follow proper hygiene practices

10. Know and understand our animal welfare policy

11. Know Culver Ducks emergency evacuation procedure

12. Properly report any injuries or illnesses while working

**Experience**:

- 1-2 years packing experience
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is helpful
