**Summary**
An individual with a passion for connecting and building people up, they serve in a hands-on position mainly responsible for recruiting qualified summer staff for all necessary Summer Staff positions at Camp Cho-Yeh. This role assists the Summer Camp Director and Manager in the implementation of personnel and programming logistics. They will have responsibility over active recruitment of all summer positions, college campus presence, hiring and interviewing of qualified applicants, and other methods as determined by the Program department.

**Essential Job Functions**:

- Campus Recruiting: Work with Managers and Directors to plan on-campus recruitment
- Set up and attend recruiting booth days at corresponding colleges
- Collaborate with the camp's leadership team and other departments to ensure alignment with the Camp Cho-Yeh mission and vision throughout the recruitment process.
- Digital Recruiting
- Follow up with digital leads in a consistent and timely manner
- Staff Hiring
- Oversee Work Crew and Junior Counselor interviewing and hiring
- Summer Programming
- Connect during and after summer with summer staff to recruit for the following years
- Oversee summer staff events to maintain staff care standards in pursuit of staff recruiting goals
- Depending on skills and abilities, have leadership responsibilities over a team or area ie, Production, Media, Trading Post, Capstone, Office Assistant, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned or reassigned.

- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and travel to recruitment events as needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Carries out limited supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Must be 18 years of age at the time of employment, at least one year through college preferred. Strong experience in camp programming, high organizational skills, and an ability to manage several concurrent projects. Must be able to effectively lead college-age staff while actively a part of the year-round Cho-Yeh team.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
Strong relational and interpersonal skills are essential to this role. Ability to manage personal emotions in conversations with campers, camper parents, and staff, while guiding the discussion to a desirable outcome.
