We are looking for a skilled Used Car Reconditioning Technician who is well versed in vehicle diagnostics and complex repairs to join our team. As a Used Car Reconditioning Technician, you will inspect and perform necessary maintenance and repairs on trade-ins and purchased vehicles for our pre-owned inventory, ensuring vehicles are safe and ready for their new owner. This role collaborates with other technicians and the parts department and reports to the Service Director.

**Core Responsibilities**:
- Complete thorough multi-point inspections on used cars to identify damages and maintenance needs
- Test, diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
- Inform the Service Director of any additional services or repairs needed, estimating the time needed to complete the work
- Perform work on the repair order per dealership standards
**Desired Qualifications and Experience**:
- 5 years of dealership service technician experience, demonstrating proficient technical and mechanical knowledge
- BMW experience and certifications required; ASE certifications are a plus
- Analytical with strong troubleshooting and problem solving abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Collaborative and willing to work as part of a team
- Ability to handle the physical demands of the job (frequent heavy lifting and standing, bending or kneeling for extended periods)
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
**Hours and Work Environment**
Our Service Department is open Monday - Friday 7am - 6pm and Saturday 8am - 5pm. We offer a 5-day workweek, and ask that all applicants be available to work any of the days and times listed above. Our technicians enjoy a positive, productive work environment, a culture that promotes professional development and collaboration, and a state-of-the-art, air-conditioned shop.
