Bottlewatch and Firewatch Personnel are responsible for maintaining safety protocols and monitoring designated areas to prevent fire hazards and ensure a safe working environment in industrial settings such as construction sites, manufacturing plants, and refineries. This role requires attentiveness, vigilance, and quick response to potential fire risks or safety breaches.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to identify and report potential fire hazards, such as overheating equipment, flammable materials, or faulty electrical wiring.
Monitor hot work activities, including welding, cutting, and grinding, to ensure compliance with safety procedures and prevent fire incidents.
Perform routine inspections of fire protection equipment, such as fire extinguishers, hoses, and alarms, to verify functionality and readiness for emergency response.
Maintain communication with site supervisors and fellow team members to report observations, coordinate responses to safety concerns, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Respond promptly to fire alarms, smoke sightings, or other emergency situations by initiating evacuation procedures, notifying emergency services, and assisting with firefighting efforts.
Conduct bottlewatch duties during confined space entry, ensuring proper ventilation, monitoring atmospheric conditions, and providing support to personnel working in enclosed spaces.
Monitor and control access to restricted areas to prevent unauthorized entry and ensure the safety of personnel and property.
Participate in safety training sessions, drills, and meetings to enhance awareness of fire prevention techniques, emergency procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and corrective actions taken, adhering to documentation protocols and regulatory standards.
Assist in the development and implementation of safety policies, procedures, and protocols to minimize the risk of fire hazards and promote a culture of safety awareness among staff.

**Qualifications**:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in fire safety, emergency response, or related fields preferred.
Previous experience in firewatch, security, or safety-related roles in industrial environments is advantageous.
Knowledge of fire prevention principles, hazard identification techniques, and emergency response procedures.
Ability to operate fire extinguishers, detection systems, and other firefighting equipment effectively.
Strong observational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to recognize and respond to potential safety hazards promptly.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and convey safety instructions clearly.
Physical fitness and stamina to perform duties requiring prolonged standing, walking, and climbing stairs/ladders, as well as lifting and carrying firefighting equipment.
Willingness to work in potentially hazardous conditions, including exposure to high temperatures, loud noises, and hazardous chemicals.
Capacity to remain calm and composed under pressure, with the ability to make quick, rational decisions during emergencies.
Commitment to adhering to safety protocols, regulations, and company policies at all times.
