Swimming Pool Lifeguard

Job Summary:
We are seeking a responsible and vigilant Lifeguard to ensure the safety and well-being of all guests at our pool facility. As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe environment, enforcing rules and regulations, and responding to emergencies in a prompt and efficient manner.

**Responsibilities**:

- Monitor pool area to prevent accidents and ensure guest safety
- Enforce pool rules and regulations to maintain order and prevent hazardous situations
- Provide excellent guest service by assisting guests with inquiries and providing information about pool activities
- Perform water rescues and administer first aid or CPR as necessary
- Conduct regular inspections of the pool area to identify any potential hazards or maintenance issues
- Perform routine pool maintenance tasks such as cleaning, testing water quality, and maintaining proper chemical levels
- Assist with organizing and conducting swimming lessons or other aquatic programs

**Requirements**:

- Must possess strong swimming skills and be able to swim long distances
- Current Lifeguard certification including CPR, First Aid, and AED training
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests of all ages
- Physical fitness and ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for rescue situations
- Previous experience in lifeguarding or related field is preferred but not required

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift

**Experience**:

- Lifeguard: 1 year (preferred)

License/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

- Monticello, NY 12701 (required)

Ability to Relocate:

- Monticello, NY 12701: Relocate before starting work (required)
