Construction Estimator

We are a General Contractor located in Maspeth, Queens, family owned and operated since 1978, seeking an **experienced Construction Estimator** to join our team. Responsibilities include estimating for both Residential and Commercial projects and oversee/managing construction projects from start to finish.

**This position is an in-person, full-time position, and requires at least 5 years of experience in the field of Construction Estimating.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Establish a bidder list for each project, and issue bid invitations.
- Must be able to interpret, review and prepare project plans, proposals, blueprints, and other documents.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for various construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment costs.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of project estimates and work.
- Manage construction projects from start to finish, including budgeting, scheduling, and overseeing subcontractors.
- Communicate project progress to clients, and senior management.
- Ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, weekly meetings, and other meetings as needed to ensure accurate project estimates and progress.
- Create, develop, and maintain project budgets, schedules, and project plans.
- Evaluate and mitigate risks associated with construction projects.

**Job Requirements**:

- Excellent organizational, communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
- At least 5 years of experience in construction estimating and project management.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and equipment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management software as well as take-off software.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.

Pay: $70,000 starting, negotiable based on experience.

License/Certification: SST Card (preferred)
