**Duties**:

- Prepare and serve a variety of deli products, including sandwiches, salads, and hot food items
- Assist customers in selecting deli items and provide recommendations based on their preferences
- Operate deli equipment such as slicers, ovens, and grills in a safe and efficient manner
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the deli area, including proper food handling and storage
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using cash registers or POS systems
- Stock shelves, rotate products, and monitor inventory levels to ensure availability of deli items
- Follow all food safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in the food industry or a similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety procedures and regulations
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Basic math skills for cash handling purposes
- Flexibility to work weekends as required

- Kitchen experience
- Familiarity with Square POS system (preferred but not required)
- Sales skills for upselling and suggestive selling
- Understanding of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques
- DELI EXPERIENCE STRONGLY PREFERRED
- Restaurant experience (preferred but not required)
- Bussing skills for maintaining cleanliness in the deli area

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $14.70 - $17.29 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 30 per week
