**We are searching for a talented Interpreter-III Languages**
**Hours: 40hrs**
**Shift: Day Shift with weekend rotation**
**Location: St. Luke’s Hospital - New Bedford, MA**

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 20 hours.

**Responsibilities**:
Position reports to the Manager, Interpreter Services or designee. Provide coverage on-site/on-call for Interpreter Services as requested. Provide accurate consecutive and/or simultaneous verbal interpretation and/or translations of written material. Develop a rhythm of interpretation to enhance the flow of communication between parties. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of encounters.
Qualifications:
- Associate
- s Degree or equivalent knowledge and experience in a related field is required.
- Training in medical terminology preferred.
- Interpersonal skills appropriate for handling sensitive patient and/or employee issues.
- Fluency in four (4) languages required, including English and three (3) assigned languages.
- One (1) year related experience preferred.
- Certificate of completion of a Medical Interpreter Training
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
Pay Range: USD $18.36 - USD $30.89 /Hr.
