**About Us**:
Exact Panel Works is a small, but rapidly growing fabrication business in Palatine, IL. We provide custom panel solutions to our customers and pride ourselves on being a reliable, precision-driven partner for the cladding market.

**Job Summary**:
We are currently seeking an Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day plant operations of our organization. As the Operations Manager you will be responsible for setting the overall production plans and schedules to meet customer demands. This position requires strong interpersonal skills to build and grow teams as well as a focus on lean manufacturing.

**Location and Hours**:
Pay: $75,000 - $90,000 per year

Hours: Full-time

Location: Palatine, IL

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Manage day-to-day plant operations and establish overall production plans to achieve 100% on time delivery.
- Set daily production schedule and coordinate plan execution with production team members for timely and accurate project completion.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize production line performance and efficiency using lean manufacturing principles.
- Recommend changes that lead to improvements in product quality, process effectiveness and/or lower cost of manufacture.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for continuous improvement.
- Act as a manufacturing liaison to Sales/Marketing as to updates and commitments on work orders completed status, as well as product shipments
- Lead, mentor and motivate a team of production staff to achieve operational goals and targets.
- Monitor staffing requirements and propose headcount adds as needed.
- Conduct regular meetings with staff to communicate goals, objectives, and expectations.
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and employee development.
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures to ensure continuous production of high-quality products and to ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting production performance, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.

**Qualifications, Skills and Experience**:

- Relevant work experience managing plant operations or Bachelor’s degree in a related field desired.
- Solid understanding of production planning, scheduling, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment desired.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
