Hospice Chaplain

Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Chaplain to join our team. As a Chaplain, you will provide spiritual support and guidance to individuals and families during times of crisis, grief, and loss. You will play a vital role in providing emotional and spiritual care to patients, their loved ones, and staff members.
**Duties**:
- Provide crisis intervention and bereavement support to patients, families, and staff
- Conduct spiritual assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Educate patients, families, and staff on spiritual resources and coping strategies
- Write and deliver sermons, prayers, and reflections for religious services
- Plan and facilitate religious ceremonies and events
- Provide leadership in promoting a culture of compassion, empathy, and respect within the organization
- Mentor and support volunteers in their spiritual care roles
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for patients
- Offer Christian counseling to individuals seeking guidance
**Skills**:
- Strong crisis intervention skills to provide support during difficult situations
- Ability to provide compassionate bereavement support to individuals experiencing loss
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in event planning for religious ceremonies and services
- Strong leadership abilities to inspire and guide others in their spiritual journey
- Mentoring skills to support volunteers in their roles
- Knowledge of hospice care principles and practices
- Ability to present sermons, prayers, and reflections with clarity and sensitivity
- Experience in Christian counseling
