**BEPC has an open position for a Gas & Chemical Technician in Fremont, CA**
**Contract W2 Period: 12-Month contract with possibilities for extensions**
**Pay & Benefits: $27.00 - $29.00/hr. +Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance**
Night Shift
**Description**
- Responsible for supporting and leading the technical demands of the site gas and/or chemical equipment.
- Ensure compliance in operation and maintenance procedures, and emergency preparedness, and drive flawless execution.
- Will be a part of the onsite Project and Equipment team and will support the gas and chemical operations.
- Responsible for supporting and leading the technical challenges for over 2000 pieces of distribution equipment of various types and vendors.
- You will ensure compliance when writing, editing, and executing operating and maintenance procedures and drive a ZERO safety or quality incident culture.
- Will be involved in projects and sustaining operations, Basic Safety processes, Quality Management, preventative maintenance, and training.
- Will support installations, decommissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of all Versum Materials Gas Systems.
- Must be capable of performing cylinder and drum changes on all chemical and gas systems and perform complex troubleshooting and problem resolution for all equipment.
Will start on the Day shift and depending on experience, etc. will be moved to working a Compressed shift. This includes working days for 3 months and then nights for 3 months.
**Requirements**:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid Driver’s license
- Speak English
- Must Have: 2 - 3 years experience
- Looking for a long-term career path; to become a permanent employee (conversions generally occur no later than 12 months)
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- 5+ years of experience with gas and chemical systems in a semiconductor ultra-high purity operation as an equipment technician.
- Associate degree or equivalent experience in electronics, design, or engineering.
- Navy Nuclear power school trained
