**Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc.** is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Part-Time Instructor for our Registered Apprenticeship program. In this role, you will be responsible for providing instruction and guidance to students on welding theory based on in-house & NCCER curriculum. The position requires a commitment of four-eight hours per month, making it an ideal opportunity for individuals looking to supplement their current schedule.

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is a premier custom design build contractor for industrial refrigeration systems, providing design, fabrication, construction, commissioning, and service in-house.

**Key Duties**:

- Conduct classes to teach welding theory based on in-house & NCCER curriculum
- Host office hours for students enrolled in company self-guided apprenticeship training to answer questions and provide guidance
- Offer constructive feedback to students on their welding projects, assisting them in improving their skills and achieving high-quality results
- Complete student evaluations on progress in the program
- Ensure records of attendance and performance are maintained
- Collaborate with the education team to develop and update curriculum materials, ensuring relevance and alignment with industry standards
- Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and advancements in welding & electrical, integrating relevant updates into the curriculum
- Participate in periodic meetings with the education team to discuss curriculum development, student progress, and any other relevant topics

**Requirements**:

- Extensive experience in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and SMAW
- Possession of relevant AWS or ASME certifications are highly desirable
- Highly prefer theory based experience or education (ex: Mechanical Engineering degree)
- Prior experience in teaching or training others in welding techniques or theory is preferred
- Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to work patiently with students of varying skill levels and create an inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Willingness to adapt to the part-time schedule and collaborate with the education team
