Orthodontic Assistant

Job Summary:
**Duties**:

- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Assist dentists in managing medical and dental emergencies
- Take and record medical and dental histories and vital signs of patients
- Provide postoperative instructions prescribed by the dentist
- Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies
- Perform various office tasks as needed

**Requirements**:

- Bilingual (preferred)
- Completion of an accredited dental assistant program or relevant experience (2-5 years preferred)
- Knowledge of medical terminology, general dentistry, prosthodontics, and assisting in dental procedures
- Ability to maintain accurate patient records and assist with medical records management
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and staff
