Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a JV Girls' Volleyball Coach. This position offers the opportunity to work with talented young athletes, helping them develop their skills, teamwork, and passion for the sport.

**Responsibilities**:

- Help lead and organize practices for the Junior Varsity Girls' Volleyball team.
- Develop players' fundamental skills, including serving, passing, setting, hitting, and defense.
- Help create and implement effective training plans to improve individual and team performance.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team environment that promotes sportsmanship, discipline, and camaraderie.
- Attend and coach games, providing strategic guidance and encouragement to players during matches.
- Collaborate with the Varsity Coach to ensure alignment in coaching philosophy, strategies, and player development.
- Communicate regularly with players, parents, and school administration regarding team schedules, expectations, and any relevant updates.
- Serve as a mentor and role model for student-athletes, promoting academic success, character development, and leadership both on and off the court.

Qualifications:

- Previous coaching experience in volleyball, preferably at the high school or club level.
- Sound knowledge of volleyball rules, techniques, and strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with players, parents, and colleagues.
- Strong leadership abilities, with a passion for helping young athletes reach their full potential.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive team culture that values sportsmanship, respect, and hard work.
- Willingness to undergo any necessary background checks or certifications required for coaching in the school district
- Arizona Driver's License
- DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card
- CPR/First Aid/AED
- NFHS Course Certificate: Heat Illness Prevention
- NFHS Course Certificate: Bullying, Hazing and Inappropriate Behaviors
- NFHS Course Certificate: Concussion in Sports
- NFHS Course Certificate: Fundamentals of Coaching
- NFHS Course Certificate: First Aid, Health, and Safety

Schedule:

- Practices typically held weekday afternoons/evenings.
- Games scheduled generally on weekdays with some travel required for away games or tournaments.
- There will be occasional weekend commitments for tournaments, practices, games and other team events
