**Company Description**

Wellness Direct LLC, a leading mental health and wellness center, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as an In-Person Medical Assistant (with occasional remote work) at our mental health facility.

**Role Description**

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage scheduling for appointments, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and timely patient access to services.
- Follow up on insurance claims to ensure timely reimbursement and resolution of any billing issues.
- Verify insurance coverage for patients and communicate relevant information regarding coverage and payment options.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to facilitate smooth operations and ensure quality patient care.
- Perform other administrative tasks and duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; certification or training as a medical assistant is preferred.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or medical office setting is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and knowledge of insurance billing procedures.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service-oriented approach.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $15.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 4 per week

- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) (preferred)
- Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC) (preferred)
- Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC) (preferred)
- Certified Outpatient Coding (COC) (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

- Cedar Grove, NJ 07009 (preferred)
