**Clarksville Construction Controller Job Description**
The Controller is responsible for direct oversight, evaluation, and maintaining accuracy of the Company’s financial information within the accounting department and software. The Controller must accurately present information about the Company’s economic status and oversee the accounting team to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial information. The Controller evaluates revenues and expenses to identify concerns, losses, gains, and overall profitability, and sets and oversees that internal controls are in place.
In addition, the Controller assists with budgeting and forecasting with the President, Owners, and Operations Teams. The Controller meets with the company’s Executives and CPA Firm to provide them with timely and accurate financial information and reporting as requested. The Controller also meets with and oversees the accounting team to ensure internal controls are followed. Compliance is met, and processes and procedures remain most efficient in reporting and daily entries.
The Full-time position is Monday -Friday (8hrs. per day)
Salary Range: $110,000 or more based on experience and stable job history
Minimum bachelor’s degree, MBA in Finance, and CPA preferred
Five years experience in a Construction Accounting environment
Minimum of 5 years as a Controller or Chief Financial Officer

As the Controller, this individual will be crucial in CCS and sister Company's financial management and strategy. They will actively shape our day-to-day operations, contributing to economic analysis, strategic planning, and overall growth. We're seeking a seasoned strategist who comprehends current accounting standards and industry trends and possesses a track record of financial adeptness in navigating change, whether it involves expansion or streamlining.
The Controller must demonstrate strong and articulate communication skills in senior management. Collaboration with leadership, managers, and team members is paramount, fostering an environment conducive to growth, continuous development, consistency, and superior service delivery.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:
Financial Planning and Analysis
- Develop and oversee financial plans and strategies aligned with CCS’s goals.
- Conduct a thorough analysis of financial data, predict upcoming trends, and offer valuable insights to facilitate well-informed decision-making.
Financial Management
- Oversee all aspects of CCS’s financial functions, including preparation of monthly Trial Balance for CPA Firm, managing budgets and cash flow, optimizing capital structure, and ensuring the effective utilization of financial resources to enhance profitability and drive growth
- Identify and manage financial risks that could impact CCS’s stability and reputation
- Devise risk mitigation strategies and implement internal control systems
- Ensure strict adherence to regulatory guidelines and reporting standards
Investor Relations and Capital Allocation
- Engage with investors and shareholders, present financial performance, growth opportunities, and strategies
- Oversee capital allocation decisions balancing the need for investment in innovation, expansion, and return on investment for shareholders
Strategic Decision-making
- Contributes to significant decisions by evaluating financial implications
- Participate in strategic planning sessions and capital investment decisions
- Assist Human Resources with staffing and hiring in the Accounting Team by monitoring workload and manpower needs, participating in the interview process, and making hiring recommendations.
- Effectively manage subordinate team members’ activities, providing regular feedback, developing their skills, and encouraging growth.

- Financial Expertise: A strong understanding of finance, accounting principles, and financial analysis is essential. This includes financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning proficiency.
