**Job Summary**

Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Parking Operations Coordinator provides day-to-day coordination for all operations related to the Parking & Transportation Services (PTS) front office, student scheduling and time-sheet approval. The incumbent Supports PTS administrative activities and coordinates student assistant processing, hiring, orientation, and training.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Coordinates the day-to-day operations of the PTS front office. Under the direction of the Operations Manager, coordinates all aspects of the day-to-day operations for the front office which includes supervision of student assistants.
- Coordinates student assistant processing, hiring, orientation, and training: Coordinates all student hiring processes including recruitment, interview and selection, and processing required paperwork.
- Provides administrative support for Parking & Transportation Departments. Responsible for accurate filing of Parking & Transportation Services documents.

**Knowledge Skills and Abilities**

Excellent customer services skills. Proficient in customer operating systems, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, E-mail. Excellent interpersonal communication skills including the ability to coordinate projects and set-up meetings. Excellent written communication skills including the ability to accurately enter data. Excellent organization skills: ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities, for effective and timely completion of work assignments. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Ability to coordinate and process a wide variety of operational tasks.

Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work in an environment that entails the safekeeping of confidential information. Demonstrated ability to independently and proactively research problems and recommend appropriate solutions to the Operations Manager or Director of PTS. Proficient in computer operating systems, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, E-mail (Outlook preferred). Experience with automated systems preferred (PeopleSoft preferred). Ability to supervise students, facilitate training, and coordinate scheduling.

**Education and Experience**
- Equivalent to five years of administrative support experience required.
- Previous experience working at a university preferred.
- BA degree preferred.
- Valid CA Driver's License preferred.

**Physical Summary**

Sedentary work - Involves mainly sitting. Walking and standing are mínimal. Lifting is limited to lightweight objects. (10 pounds or less).

**Compensation**

**CSU Classification Salary Range**:The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $3,865 - $6,336 per month.

**Time Base**

1.0 time-base, 40 hours per week.

**Duration of Appointment**

This is a temporary position for one year with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.
