**Job Summary**:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Distribution Associate to join our team. The Distribution Associate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and timely distribution of our products to customers and retailers. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate with the logistics team to plan and execute the shipment of products to various locations, ensuring on-time delivery.
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments, verifying the accuracy of the items received against purchase orders.
- Prepare orders for shipment, including picking, packing, and labeling products according to company standards.
- Load and unload shipments, using appropriate equipment and following safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular cycle counts to reconcile discrepancies.
- Communicate with carriers and freight forwarders to schedule pickups and resolve any delivery issues.
- Assist in the implementation of process improvements to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies regarding the handling and transportation of goods.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the food or consumer goods industry.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software for inventory management and shipment tracking.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Forklift certification and experience operating material handling equipment is desirable.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $18.47 - $20.65 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
