**What you bring to SBHG** **(qualifications)**:

- Currently enrolled in a Master’s program focused in the field of Mental Health
- No Experience required
- Valid California Driver License

**How you will make a difference**:
This role is primarily one of student where the Practicum Student is in close contact with the Practicum Supervisor in all facets of the position. The
Practicum Student has responsibility to both their University and the practicum site per their individual learning agreement. Under the guidance of the Practicum Supervisor, this position has responsibility for mental health and case management services to children, adolescents and their families. He/she acts as liaison with external agencies and collaborates with other clinical and program staff as needed. He/she is involved in macro practice as assigned by the Practicum Supervisor and is engaged in additional opportunities to encourage both individual and peer professional growth. He/she adheres to the Star View Practicum Student contract throughout their practicum experience.

**Division/Program Overview**:

- Community Based programs.
- Provides programs for children, adolescents, and transitional age youth (TAY) with Mental Health services.
- An experienced staff of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, mental health therapist / Clinician, parent partners, and other counselors
- Provide case management, mental health care, and a range of support services in schools, homes or other community settings.
- Partner with family members, school administrators and faculty, county social workers, case managers, probation officers, and other agencies.
- Utilize Evidence Based Practice (EBP) to ensure clients make positive changes in their life.
