Transportation Specialist

Job Overview:
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Oversee a region-specific to the planning and assignment of shipments.
- Work closely with drivers on shipment details.
- Monitor changes and update computer systems as necessary.
- Adhere to the assigned schedule.
- Troubleshoot issues as they arise.

**Skills/Background Needed**
- 5+ years of previous experience as a transportation specialist/planner preferably from the moving industry.
- Must have good MS Office skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be detail-orientated and extremely organized.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be flexible and a good problem solver.
- Must be able to work one Saturday per month (two Saturdays per month during peak season (5/15-8/31)) and occasional half days on holidays.

**Educational Requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
- High school diploma or a GED required.

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to Relocate:

- Westchester, IL: Relocate before starting work (required)
