Quality Control Inspector

Position Summary
The Quality Control Technician supports the Compounding and Filling departments in the facility and reports directly to the Quality Control Supervisor.
Duties and responsibilities
- Monitor employees for compliance to all Quality Control procedures and ensure employees are trained to work on specific jobs or equipment. Note any discrepancies from actual operating procedures
- Review Manufacturing and Production Batch and in-process records to ensure that they are properly and completely filled out according to cGMP requirements
- Review and approve batch records upon inspection. Ensure batch meets all requirements; Approve further manufacturing in accordance with approved batch information.
- Review batch specific information to ensure all components are correct according to the bill of materials
- Provide printed Quality controlled documentation to employees for reference and training
- Generate or verify QC sample plans for in-process inspection and Lab sample submission forms
- Verify periodic first piece inspection for filling line
- Utilize scales, micrometres, temperature probes, speed gauges, and meters for sampling and inspection of work in-process, and finished goods
- Document any deviations observed during the course of Compounding and Filling in the batch records
- Note any discrepancies observed during the course of Compounding and Filling and initiate DMR’s or investigations
- Organize documents to file and upload into various network Quality folders
- Submit purchase requisitions for required supplies or equipment
- Attend meetings to communicate information pertaining to component discrepancies or investigations
- Cross train to support other Quality departments as needed
**Qualifications**:
1-3 years experience in an FDA regulated manufacturing environment.
Associates or Bachelor's Degree or a combination of education and experience.
Ability to understand and communicate/transfer knowledge of cGMP to others
